In the understanding that research is a way to accumulate new learning with human knowledge and, on the other hand, of improving graduate teaching, FEI University Center is deeply engaged in the process of institutionalizing and consolidating strategic lines of research which help to support social, economic and environmental development of the region where it is located and consequently of the country as a whole. The Institution has thus taken on the important role of producing knowledge exempt from and unburdened by private interests, with a view to fair and sustainable development of society.
FEI is not only a paradigm of teaching excellence in Administration, Computer Science and Engineering but is also acknowledged today for its high quality of research and intellectual production, legitimized by the scientific world thanks to support for its projects from FINEP, CNPq, CAPES and FAPESP and to its participation in a number of national and international networks of cooperative research. These projects are run under the auspices of Post-Graduation strict sensu Programs in Administration, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and count on the participation of highly qualified full-time teachers.
